Salary £26,000 - £32,000 per annum + profit related bonus
An expanding managed IT services company currently based in South London has a newly vacant position for a hybrid role in both business analysis (75%) and financial management (25%) to join their team.

The role will report directly to the Finance Director, duties will be highly varied and day to day work will involve close collaboration with almost all functional departments. The role demands an energetic, outgoing individual with a commercial mindset, the ability to influence decision makers & the initiative to implement business systems improvements.
Responsibilities of the Business Analyst function
- Assisting the business in assessing and reviewing the financial impact of proposed new product and service lines
- Development of company reporting KPIs and business reporting
- Conducting business analysis, product and service profitability and tariff maintenance
- Assisting sales in large bid preparation
- Development of company budgeting process
- Maintaining relevant, accurate and up-to-date process and business rule documentation
- Collaborating with various staff within the company to appraise, analyse, prioritise, and in some instances manage the delivery of enhancements and bug-fixes to back office systems
Responsibilities of the Financial Management function
- Setting up the company accounts system on web based accounting systems
- Maintaining ledgers
- Reconciliation of accounts, expenses, principal supplier liaison
- Credit control duties, including overseeing invoicing
- Monitoring cash flow
- Ensuring financial records are accurately maintained for audit purposes
- Working with our outsourced accounting firm in preparation and submission of statutory returns and pay roll
- Handling of occasional customer service enquiries
The person
- University degree – minimum 2:1 (or equivalent) – in a discipline which requires application of analysis skills
- Commercial experience of running or participating in development projects in a technology-led company
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Very good organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at levels within the business, both technical and non-technical, and senior management
- Sense of ownership and responsibility for the work you deliver
- Dedication to deliver and meet team and business objectives
- Some basic bookkeeping experience
- A willingness to learn new skills as systems and needs develop
- Experience of computer and online accountancy packages, Netsuite and SAGE (less so).
- Good general computer literacy with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel
- Strong organisational skills including proven ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
- Be able to demonstrate proven data manipulation, report preparation & analysis experience gained within a business environment
